Training of the Korps Vrouwelijke Vrijwilligers (Female Volunteer Corps, KVV) in Amsterdam. The Corps' mission is to offer aid to the community at the request of the government. SHOTS: - speech by the commander of the KVV, ms. H.C.L. Veder; - KVV members leave the KVV building orderly and line up in groups outside; - commander leaves the building and inspects the gueard; - exercise in hospital transport, in which the "victim" is carried on a stretcher and placed in the ambulance of the Gemeentelijke Geneeskundige Dienst (Municipal Medical Service, GGD); - KVV members of the Rijwielambulance (Bicycle Ambulance) during a familiarizing tour through the city; - women in the kitchen during the cooking lesson for members of the Huishoudelijke Dienst (Domestic Service), where they're taught how to cook for large groups of people; - cook scoops food in a large jug, which is held by a women; - woman cuts slices of bread with a cutting machine; - other women make sandwiches.
