Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The "Pieter Geertruida", a ship especially build for catching eel, arrives in the harbour of Spaarndam. Special about this ship is that the caught eel is kept alive in special tanks on board. SHOTS: Ship enters the harbour; the eels are put into barrels with landing nets which are then emptied in special floating fyke nets. In there the eels are kept alive.
