50 people take part in the New Year's Dive in Zandvoort in front of a lot of spectators. The participants are mainly members of swimming club Njord from Haarlem and lifeguards from Zandvoort. Kok van der Hulst wins the Katerkoers (Hangover Race) at the Duinrell estate in Wassenaar, finishing before Cor Rutgers.
