Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
A former carriage house on the Kerkstraat in Amsterdam is brought back into its original state by adding a cornice on the facade. The ornament was modelled after the original which is pictured on a painting in the Rijksmuseum. SHOTS: Amsterdam canal houses, including the former carriage house; painting of a canal house; sculptor Hans 't Mannetje makes the cornice in his workshop, a.o. drawing and sculpture; a truck-mounted crane lifts the ornaments over the roof of the carriage house, after which the parts are put in place.
