Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The city council of Eindhoven and a large part of the civil servants were housed in an old villa for years. New development for a new city hall was started in 1948. A part of the new city hall is now finished and it is opened by the mayor, mr. H.A.M.T. Kolfschoten, in the presence of several notables among them the Minister of Internal Affairs, mr. L.J.M. Beel. SHOTS: - Ext. old housing; - ext. new city hall; - int. new city hall: hallways, offices, mayor's room with an antique clock, wedding hall; - the group of notables comes walking down the street near the new city hall; - on the sidewalk an architect, mr. Van der Laan(?), gives the key to Kolfschoten who opens the door; - a large crowd of interested people stands in front of the building and watches the flag being unrolled on the facade.
