Because of the continuing rain during the recent period the farmers in the south west of the Netherlands are almost unable to harvest. Especially the onions and the potatoes suffer. Minister of Agriculture Fons van der Stee has promised aid from teh army in Zeeland for the transportation of agricultural machines. REACTIONS of a famer (off screen) and Van der Stee (off screen). SHOTS: large puddles on a piece of land; farmer pulls onions from the ground and shows them; farmer roots in the earth looking for potatoes; beet harvest with tractor and harvester, which almost gets stuck in the mud; Van der Stee talks to affected farmer of flooded piece of land.
