Week number 51-10
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
In a chicken farm in Duiven the eggs are put in an incubator. After the eggs have been checked with a so-called "schouwlamp" (sex light) for the presence of an embryo five days later, the brooding is continued. After 21 days the eggs hatch and the chicks are taken from the machine and are collected in cardboard boxes. On a seperate table the chicken sexers are seated. They check the chicks in the boxes and seperate the hens from the cocks.
