Founding of the Strick van Linschoten Fund, a foundation named after mayor mr. Strick van Linschoten of Zwolle. The foundation collects money for the construction of houses to replace the slums. Overseen by the fire brigade and watched by spectators the first slum dwelling is set on fire. Also shots of slums, a.o. at the Kleine Gracht.
