The festive completion in Groningen of the 500.000th house built in the Netherlands after the war. Ir. H.B.J. Witte, Minister of Housing and Building Industry, unveils a commemorative plaque and hands over the key of the house to the new inhabitants, who invite him as their first guest. The house is part of a block of prefabricated houses with a communal laundry room in the basement, with an adjoining playroom for the children.
