Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
A number of municipalities in Groningen decide to start a joint building project during a meeting in the town hall of Ulrum in 1950. This is special because only one type of house is being developed to cut costs. Today the 1000th house is finished. The Minister of Postwar Reconstruction and Housing, mr. J. in 't Veld, hands the keys over to the inhabitants. SHOTS: - the church tower of Ulrum, rising above the country side; - ext. town hall; - ext. new development under construction; construction workers at work; - works foreman deliberates with the architect(?) (with bow tie) and the contractor(?) over the floor plan; - a large number of curious spectators watch from the streets; - a group of notables take a tour of the new development; ext. new development.
