Governor Z.E. van Tilburg and his wife bid farewell to the inhabitants of Suriname at the Oranjeplein in Paramaribo now that his term has ended. They receive several gifts, a.o. a painting and wood carvings. Furthermore, in the presence of a.o. States chairman Johan Kraag and Prime Minister Severinus D. Emanuels, Archibald Currie is sworn in as acting governor in the States of Suriname.
