On Koninkrijksdag (Kingdom Day) about 1000 people demonstrate in Paramaribo for independence. On the initiative of the Suriname Socialists Union they walk trough the streets with banners in a march, the march to freedom. With a.o. teacher Chin a Foeng, Secretary of the SSU, and journalist Rudi Kross.
