TT races in Assen. Florian Camathias and Hilmar Cecco from Switzerland win the motorcycle and sidecar race from H. Scheider and Strauss from Germany. John Surtees from Great Britain wins the 500cc. Gary Hocking from Rhodesia drops out of the race beacuse of a broken-down motorcycle. The mother of Surtees writes down his lap times as his coach and afterwards Surtees rides towards her.
