Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Passengers board the McDonnell Douglas DC-7 De Koraalzee (The Coral Sea) of the KLM at Schiphol Airport, after which the airplane departs at midnight to Anchorage in Alaska. During the flight some passengers sleep and children draw. The position of the airplane is determined with special instruments. After the stop over in Anchorage the plane flies over the North Pole to Tokyo. With city and street shots of Tokyo, a.o. babies in the hospital, market vendors, eating-houses, geishas in a restaurant, vagabonds, alcoholics and illuminated advertising.
