Week number 52-40
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The CBR in The Hague exists for 25 years. One of the very first examiners, mister Peereboom(?) from Purmerend, has thus also been in the business for 25 years and is honoured. He also holds an exam for one of the first candidates ever, mister Snijders(?), who's been trying to get his driving licens for 25 years and fails again this time. SHOTS: - Ext. CBR; - a woman does her driving test in a Citroen Traction Avant with Peereboom(?); a number of former examinees wait for him with flowers and congratulations; - cheerful note: Snijders arrives in a small old Austin car; Peereboom gets in and the men drive off; Snijders does the weirdest things during the exam; on a country road Peereboom gets out and wipes the sweat off of his forehead.
