Hot iar ballons are prepared for the inetrnational race for the Coupe Andries Blitz in the Goffert Stadium in Nijmegen, with the 81-year-old tailor Cormier from Paris as the oldest participant and the 20-year-old Andrée van Gemert as the youngest participant. The Swiss Iselin is the first to go up in the air, followed by Nini Boesman with the Polygoon cameraman. The cameraman makes a report of the race. With a.o. shots of Roermond. The next day they pack up the balloon near Bitburg, where they landed at night, and the German police checks the papers. Boesman wins the race.
