Minister J.G. Suurhoff of Transport, Public Works and Water management rings a bell in a pilot in Europoort, after which the doors of the pilot open and one can look out over a new harbour. Earlier that day the ferry Norwave of the North Sea Ferries was the first ship to arrive in the harbour. With the ferry a service between Rotterdam and Hull is maintained. Cars and lorries can drive onto the ship from the rear side and leave it at the front side. With the int. of the ship, a.o. the bar, space for the passengers and huts
