Minister J.M.L.T. Cals delievers a speech in The Hague during the installation of the Raad voor de Kunst (Arts Council), a council that will give the government advice in the arts. Afterwards a reception takes place, with a.o. the council members mr. dr. Witteman, chairman, composer mr. Guillame Landré, secretary, ballet mistress Sonia Gaskell and director Johan de Meester of the Theatre section, painter prof. Jan Wiegers of the Visual Arts section, director of the Nederlandse Bioscoopbond (Dutch Union of Cinema Propietors) mr. J.G.J. Bosman and mr. Verschueren of the Film Art section, writer Emmy van Lokhorst and prof. Garmt Stuiveling of the Literatuire section and conductor Eduard van Beinum Music section.
