World Championships Ice Speedway in Assen. Participants from Sweden, Czechoslovakia, Russia and the Netherlands compete for the world title on studded tires. The riders ride across the ice with 500 cc motorcycles. The Russian Tabaranko wins the world title. SHOTS: motorcycles race on ice rink (partly in slow motion); audience on the stands with yellow hats; Tabaranko is honoured with a laurel-wreath and flowers.
