Arrival of Sinterklaas in Amsterdam.
Sinterklaas and his Pieten (Petes) arrive with the steamboat "Spanje" (Spain) in Amsterdam. When they're ashore the Sint is offered flowers by Ansje van Veenen and is greeted by the mayor of the English city Cardiff, who's staying in the Netherlands. While the Pieten hand out candy and do acrobatic stunts, the Sint mount his gray horse. Then follows a parade through the city, where a number of Pieten ride around on scooters. On the Damrak the Sint is offered the traditional glass of mulled wine.
