Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The new block and hot rolling mills of the Hoogovens in IJmuiden. The glowing blocks of steel roll over a conveyor to the block roller, where it is rolled to a flat sheet. From a control room above the rolling mill a 'walser' and a 'kantelaar' guide the process. The sheets of steel are further rolled in the hot rolling mill to a sheet of 30mm.
