Airport Schiphol has been greatly expanded to keep receiving the increasing number of large airplanes. The building has been enlarged and and a new pier has been built. Passengers can exit and board the large airplanes at the New D-pier via two passenger bridges. SHOTS: aerial shots of Schiphol Airport, with a.o. airplanes arounfd the new D-pier; Boeing 747 taxis up to the pier where the passenger bridges can be attached to the airplane; int. cockpit with pilot; passengers in D-pier; escalators to departure hall, departure hall; luggage check in, after which it is put on a conveyor belt; self-service restaurant in the 'Top lounge'; int'prayer room; moving walkways in lang hallways between the piers; monitors with departure times; int. control tower, where a woman announces the flight information over the intercom; KLM airplane takes off.
