Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The expansion of the harbour of Rotterdam because of the busy shipping traffic in the old harbour. Sand is used to raise the land in the Europoort to create new building land. Refineries have been built and the harbours for the tanker are finished. The suction hopper dredger Van Hattum sucks a test channel in the harbour. The sucked up sand is used to raise the new building land. The tanker Niso, the largest ever built in Rotterdam, lies moored in the Europoort.
