The 76-year-old architect Gerrit Rietveld receives an honorary docotorate of the TH (Polytechnic) in Delft. With Rietveld next to his chair and in his workshop, the Rietveld-Schröder house in Utrecht, the exhibition building Zonnehof in Amersfoort, the Academy of Art in Arnhem, a building for the weaving mill Bergeyk and other houses according to his design.
