Mr. Gieben, sceretary-general of the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management, drives sheet piles for the first retaining wall for the construction of the underground near the Central Station at the Coolsingel in Rotterdam. Near the banks of the Meuse a sign about the construction of the subway is unveiled in the presence of G.E. van Walsum. Also a scale model of the tunnel.
