The oil pipe running from Rotterdam to Germany, the so-called Rotterdam-Rhine pipeline, is completed. The pipeline runs from a refinery near Rotterdam undreground to Venlo, where the pipeline branches off towards Germany. Mayor De Gouw of Venlo activites the pumping-station by pressing a button, after which mr. Slingenberg, director of the pipeline, gives an explanation to the invitees.
