Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
At his farewell as director of the Rijksmuseum, esquire Roëll is honoured in a speech by Minister J.M.L.T. Cals in the presence of his replacement A. Van Schendel. A statue of Roëll is unveiled by Cals in the presence of scupltor Charlotte van Palland. Finally Roëll becomes Grand Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau. Also the interior of the museum, which was completely changed by Roëll, a.o. De Nachtwacht (The Night Watch) and other paintings by Rembrandt, early Dutch paintings, cabintes for miniatures and halls with furniture.
