Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The "G.S. Walden", the largest tanker ever build in the Netherlands, is christened by mrs. G.S. Walden, the wife of the shipowner for who the ship is meant. Afterwards the ship is launched from the shipyard of the Rotterdamse Droogdok Maatschappij. SHOTS: - guests arriving by boat leave the ship via a footbridge 11"; - overview of the shipyard with ship on the slipway 2"+3"; - rudder and screw propeller 2"; - christening ceremony, launching and floating 31".
