At the nuclear power plant in Borssele demonstrations are held by opposers as a result of the accident in the nuclear power plant in Harrisburg in America. The nuclear power plant of the Provinciale Zeeuwse Energie Maatschappij (Provincial Zeeland Energy Company) produces enough electricity to supply one fifth of the total domestic use in teh Netherlands. The nuclear power plant, which has been in use for five years, is continuously run by shift work and 3000 visitors takle a tour of the reactor building every year.
