In the synagogue at the Lekstraat in Amsterdam, Aron Schuster is cornfirmed as Chief Rabbi of Amsterdam by H. Then Pereira opens the holy arc, after which Schuster says a prayer in Hebrew for the well-being of the Queen and the Royal Household. Representatives of the civil gouvernement and the Christian churches attend the ceremony.
