Week number 52-19
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
An old custom has been re-established in Franeker. Once every week the so-called diskes market is held, a market in traditional manner, where the inhabitants of Franeker walk around in traditional Frisian attire. The market is announced by the town crier. At the market several old trades are practised: basket making; pottery; woodworking; crockery painting.
