Week number 46-46
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
On Armistice Day (of the First World War) the victims of the Second World War are also commemorated. On the militairy cemeteries in the Netherlands wreaths are laid and prayers are said. At the Oosterbegraafplaats (East cemetery) in Amsterdam wreaths are laid by the Minister of War, A.H.J.L. Fiévez (in civilian clothing); the English ambassador sir Neville Bland; the American ambassador Stanley K. Horbeck and the mayor of Amsterdam, A.J. d'Ailly. Amid great public interest, a procession passes at the British militairy cemetery "Molenheide" in Mierlo and a wreath is laid. At the Canadian cemetery near Holten school children lay pine branches(?) on the graves.
