video footage from the third edition of the annick van hardeveld memorial alleycat race on the 4th of may 2001 in amsterdam, the netherlands. this bike messenger race is held annualy on the 4th of may in memory of the dutch resistance courier Annick van Hardeveld. Annick was a courier of the dutch resistance who was executed by the occupying German army on the 4th of may 1945, the last day of the German occupation of the Netherlands. She was 19 years old.
