High water in the Netherlands leads to water troubles. In the Gelderse Vallei roads have been flooded after the heavy rainfall has caused a.o. the Barneveldse Beek to overflow. The ferry near Sambeek has been taken out of service and people are being taken to the other side in rowing boats. A brickyard near Gennep has been flooded bij the flooding of the Maas. The road to Bergen has also been flooded by the Maas. 300 barges lie waiting in the harbour of Maasbracht until the water level has dropped.
