Summary of Remembrance Day WWII: - A bell meant for the National Army monument at the Grebbeberg is cast in a bell-foundry in Asten in the presence of esquire Bosch Ridder van Rosenthal and the mayor of Rhenen. At this monument a militairy commemoration ceremony is held with a.o. the laying of a wreath by Minister of War, C. Staf; - Prime Minister Drees unveils a war monument in Enschede in the presence of its designer and creator, sculptor Mari Andriessen.
