Week number 60-43
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
In the Netherlands heavy rain leads to high water and water troubles. The dikes are repaired and reinforced with sandbags. In Maarssenbroek in the polder of Nijenrode houses have been flooded. In Brabant agricultural land with sugar beets has been flooded by the Mark and the Dintel. Farmers harvest the beets and take the cows from the flooded land to their stables. The flooded polders are pumped dry with pumps.
