Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Sheep shearing in the Dutch East Indies. The wool is gathered and then washed in large tubs; a group of Indonesian women spins the wool on spinning wheels. The thread is turned into strings. In the carpet factory designers first draw the pattern on a frame of cotton. Then the carpets are made by women. They use a hand shuttle or knot with their hands.
