Batik paintings by Bambang Oetoro are exhibited in the first Dutch batik gallery in Amsterdam. This Indonesian artist still uses the old technique. SHOTS: woman admires batik paintings in a museum; close up Oetoro; Oetoro working on a batik painting: drawing with pencil and brush, then putting on the liquid wax with a wax pen, a so-called Tjanting, dipping the cloth in a dye bath and holding the cloth under hot tap water to remove the wax; several barik paintings by Oetoro.
