Week number 50-49
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The firm Menthen from Utrecht has invented a new gold alloy of which tensile strength and hardness is greater than that of many types of steel. Wedding rings, made of the new material, will wear off less while wearing. SHOTS:-a goldsmith manufactures wedding rings with a special machine; -on the Vreeburg in Utrecht the strength of the new material is demonstrated: a tow truck lifts up a car with two occupants that dangles on a wedding ring which is made of the new alloy.
