One of the elements of National Socialism is that every country has to be able to feed itself, without relying on import from abroad. Propaganda for this idea is made in the newsreels with the term "production drive". SHOTS: - farmers harvest the grain, by hand and with a scythe or with agricultural machines pulled by horses; - the grain is sheaved and the chaff is seperated from the grain with a combine; - in a windmill the grain is grinded into flour; - the baker bakes breads out of the flour.

During World War II the newsreels by film producers Polygoon and Profilti were controlled by the German occupiers. Polygoon and Profilti had to work together with the German film rental office Tobis. From January 1, 1941 the newsreels were therefore called Tobis News. Until the fall of 1944 newsreels under this name were produced alternately by Polygoon and Profilti.
