For the celebration of Haarlem being a city for 700 years a historical and allegorical parade moves through the city; in the Frans Hals Museum a painting exhibition is held of masters from the days of Frans Hals. In the evening an open-air performance of a play to commemorate the siege of Haarlem takes place.
