In Tilburg, Romania wins the ice hockey match for the world title against the Netherlands in group C with 10-2. With Dutch players Smulders (fourth goal) and Simons (sixth goal). Because of the agressive attitude of the Dutch players, the Czechian coach is discharged a few days later by the Dutch Ice Hockey Federation.
