Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Captain Van de Velde from Breskens has brought a dead sperm whale from a sandbar in teh Westerschelde to the harbour of Breskens. With a winch the fish is hoisted on the shore. Prof. Brongersma of the State Museum for Natural History inspects the fish, which he bought for the museum, and employees of the museum dissect the fish. Also skeletons in the museum, a.o. of a sperm whale found in 1937.
